Informarion reaching the Osuntv.com.ng saids that a notorious political thug, Olalekan Ajagungbade, popularly known as Emir has on Thursday been remanded in Ile-Ife Prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo.
Reports had earlier indicated that Emir is facing charges bordering on murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
It could be recalled that before his arrest last year by a special intelligence team from the Police Headquarters Abuja, Emir Ajagungbade who though had been on the Wanted List of the Nigeria Police, Osun State Command, was a hard-nut to crack because of what many described as his close relationship with the state state government and other influential political figures in the state.
meanwhile, the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) had severally accused Governor Adeleke of harbouring the suspect and other wanted criminals to shield them from police arrest.
Emir is to be re-arraigned March 5 for continuation of his case.
