The senator representing Osun east senatorial district at the National Assembly, Adenigba Fadahuunsi has flagged off the construction of Arubidi internal road in Ile-Ife.
The senator promised that the one kilometer road will facelift six local communities and will be completed within six months.
Represented by his senior legislative aide, Ayodel Ayodele Awodirepo, he noted that the project was initiated to ease mobility and enhance commercial activities in the area.
Residents of the community who claimed the road has been dilapidated for about two decades described the intervention as a community driven project reflecting an aged long yearnings of the people.
The road which spans arubidi, ayetoro towards iloro and connects the Ondo road axis according to them is a strategic passage of essential commodities.
The flag off ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, as well as members of the all progressives congress led by the state chairman, Tajudeen Lawal.
